Arabelle P. Long, 90, of Frametown, passed away at her son’s home early in the morning, Saturday, March 6, 2021.

She was born December 22, 1930 in Sutton to the late Hal and Leo Pierson Boggs.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Long; and her brother, William C. Boggs.

Arabelle was a retired telephone operator for C & P Telephone for 30 years.  She was an artist who loved to oil paint.  She enjoyed socializing with her friends in person and on the phone.  Eating at restaurants and reading the newspaper were two other hobbies that she loved to do.  She was a devoted member of Spruce Grove United Methodist Church and then later she was a member of Frametown United Methodist Church and would go there when she was able.  She served the Lord also by being a member of Christian Women in Action.  She enjoyed time with her son, daughter-in-law, and her two grandsons.

She will be forever remembered by her son, George Long and wife, Michaela of Sutton; grandsons, Nick Long (Shelly Flint) of Sutton, and Tyler Long and wife, Cayla of Sutton; great grandchildren, Caleb Long and Rachel Long; sister, Harriet A. Cutlip and husband, Bill, of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be 2 P.M. Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Roach Funeral Home,

Gassaway with Reverend Johnny Conrad officiating.  A private interment will follow the service.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
