Camden “Cam” Marks, 70, of Gassaway passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport.

He was born December 14, 1949 in Gassaway, a son of the late Raymond and Grace Rogers Marks.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters and was the last surviving child in his family.

For 20 plus years Cam worked for Meadows Stone and Paving as a truck driver.  He owned and operated Gassaway Cabs Taxi Service in the mid 1980’s.  He had the Pets Plus More store in town also.  He had a concessions truck locally that he ran.  Cam served his community for over 40 years in the Gassaway Volunteer Fire Department.  While he was in the Fire Department he was the President for many years and also held the positions of Captain and Lieutenant.

Cam will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Anetta Marks; sons, Anthony Marks and Amanda of Fayetteville, Luke Marks and Betsy of Gassaway, and Jesse Marks and Kelley Bragg of Gassaway; and nine grandchildren.  He is also survived by his lifelong special friend, Teddy Grose.

Graveside service will be 1 P.M. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway with Pastor Bill Morlan officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Gassaway Volunteer Fire Department, 105 Fifth Street, Gassaway, WV  26624.
