Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Glenna Marple Belknap Born in Bulltown, WV on March 23, 1918 and died April 10, 2020. Family Matriarch to nine grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 33 great- great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandson. She adored and loved her family and friends, especially the little ones. Also survived by four nieces and multiple great nieces and nephews and lifelong-dear friends, too many to list, but among them Bill and Thelma Carr, Alicia and John McGlaughlin and Martha Taylor. Devout Christian and Richmond Chapel Church member for many years. Dedicated to the Chapel Volunteer Fire Department and election poll worker well into her 90’s. Homemaker, Master of Quilting by hand stitching hundreds of quilts in her lifetime. Gardening, canning and baking were other of her well known skills. Many of her friends and family to this day speak of her cakes, pies & fried chicken. She never met a stranger, warm and welcoming to all she met. Formerly of Gassaway WV, she lived her last 5 ½ years in Martins Ferry, Ohio with her granddaughter, Julia and Steve Perdok and was able to spend time with her grandchildren and their extended families. Grandchildren are: Debbie McCracken and partner Nelson Bowers of Portsmouth, VA., Charles A. Kuzma of Claysville, PA., Mary Jane Uraco of Bridgeport, OH, Michael and Marjorie Kuzma of Glen Dale, WV, Glenna Tran of Beckley, WV, Betty R. McGinnis of Elm Grove, WV, Marilyn and Ron Hibbs of Bellaire, OH; Carol and Robert McElfresh of Moundsville, WV. She was preceded in death by her only child, Rosalie Kuzma; husband, Truman Belknap; parents, William C. Marple and Cordelia Dennison Marple; three sisters, Garnet Spaur, Grace Cayton and Ruthie Marple.
