Dorothy Faye “Dottie” Williamson, 70, went to be with her Lord January 29, 2020 at home in Glenville, WV.

She was born April 9, 1949 in Dakota, WV, a daughter of the late George Willis Grounds, Sr. and Emyl Lee Ellis Shields.

Dorothy was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Lola Faye Workman, who raised her.

She was a homemaker.  She enjoyed quilting and sitting on the front porch swing with her husband.  She was a wonderful cook.  Her favorite place to go on vacation was the beach.  She watched soap operas and the game shows on the television.  Dottie attended the First Baptist Church of Sand Fork.

Dorothy will be fondly remembered by her husband, Clarence Alfred Williamson; daughter, Lisa Nicholas (Stephen) of Gassaway; sons, Roger Tallarito of Charlotte, NC, Bradley Tallarito (Sarah) of Morgantown; stepsons; Christopher Williamson of Glenville, and Andrew Williamson (Trava) of Montana; brothers, George Grounds of Calhoun, WV, James Grounds of Nitro, WV; sisters, Barbara Phares (David) of Cedarville, Sandra Smith (Lonzo) of Glenville, Darlene Isenhart (Roy) of Cedarville, and Bonnie Barnett of Ravenna, OH.

She has 12 grandchildren, one step grandson, and six great grandchildren all whom loved her so much.

Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Gene Miller officiating.  Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, January 31^st at the funeral home.
