Billy Joe Clutter, 83, of Gassaway, passed away January 14, 2020 at home.

He was born January 8, 1937 in Webster County son of the late Virgil Clutter and Virgie Mae Fisher Clutter.

Billy was on oil field worker for many years.  He was a hard worker and had a good sense of humor.  He was a member of the Hope Baptist Church, Frametown.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by daughter, Joyce Taylor; stepsons, Marshall Napier and Ashley Napier; brothers, Thearl Clutter, John Clutter and Robert Clutter; sisters, Mallie Gillespie and Sharon Collins.

Billy is survived by his wife, Imogene Clutter; grandson, Doy Taylor III; stepchildren, Monty Napier and Margaret Cook; step grandchildren, Clayton Napier and Courtney Cook; brothers, Rondal Clutter and Donal Clutter; sisters, Nellie Bice and Desylvia Harper; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Hope Baptist Church, Frametown with Rev. Rich Demastus officiating.  Interment will be in the Criner Cemetery, Wilsie.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 17 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hope Baptist Church, 7243 Elk River Road, Frametown, WV 26623..
