Funeral service will be 1 P.M. Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Reverend Russell Shaw, officiating. Interment with Military Rites will be in the Doyle Barnette Memorial Cemetery, Boggs, WV.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jimmie Lee Rollyson, 75, of Frametown, passed away Monday morning, December 16, 2019 at SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

He was born January 19, 1944, a son of the late John Creston and Nellie Bell Rollyson of Gassaway.

Jimmie was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Brenda Kay Rollyson, who passed on March 28, 2017, and one infant brother, Darrell Rollyson.

Jimmie is forever remembered by his daughters, Patricia Myers (John) of Sutton, Arlene Jordan (Calvin) of Lucasville, Ohio, Jessica Helmick of Sutton; and son Jason Rollyson (Heather) of Gassaway; grandchildren, Lindsay Ware (Matt) of Sutton, Emily, Cassie and Macy Myers, all of Sutton, Hannah Given of Gassaway, Katlyn and Charlie Jordan, both of Lucasville, OH, Stephanie Rollyson of Chloe, and Vincent (JR) Samples, deployed overseas, Zac, Makayla and Hannah Roberts of Gassaway; Great-grandchildren, Carter Dean Thomas of Lucasville, OH, and Aubrey Grace and Grayson Scott Ware of Sutton; brothers, John Rollyson (Belinda) of Gassaway, Boyd Rollyson (Claire) of Virginia, Mark Rollyson of Summersville, Bobby Rollyson of Ohio; sisters, Betty Hurd of Gassaway, Marjorie Boothe (Roger) of Lindside, WV, Marie Clutter of Summersville, Sandra King (Sam) of Virginia, Linda Utt (Victor) of Gassaway, Ruby Rollyson of Sutton, and Sue Riffe (Gary) of Gassaway; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Jimmie was a US Army Veteran, and worked for Oneida Coal Company for many years, as well as driving truck for many businesses around Braxton County.  Jimmie was also a member of the American Legion Post 33 Honor Guard for several years.
