Funeral service will be 1p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Roach Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Carr officiating.  Interment will be in the Hosey Cemetery on Trace Run, Exchange.

Visitation will be 6 to 9p.m., Tuesday, May 21 at the funeral home.

Charlene Rose Belknap, 67, of Exchange, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019 at home.

She was born October 4, 1951 in Cambridge, Ohio a daughter of the late Raymond Hoopingarner and Anna Marie Lawrence Hoopingarner.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Belknap;  brothers, David Hoopingarner, Carl Hoopingarner, Ramone Hoopingarner, Jr.; sisters, Wanda “Peach” Elrod, Kate Murdick, Mary Ann Hoopingarner, and Jeanie Rumback.

Charlene was a homemaker. Her whole life was dedicated to her husband, Wendell.  She was loved by everyone and was most respected by her community and family.  She was the best grandmother and loved her grandbabies.  Charlene would do anything for anyone.  She was a bargain shopper for clothes.  She enjoyed being outdoors tending her flower and vegetable gardens.  She loved to crotchet.  Her afternoons were spent watching all of her soap operas on television and her favorite soap was the Young and the Restless.  Charlene enjoyed listening to the music of Elvis Presley and Loretta Lynn.  Thanksgiving was Charlene’s favorite holiday and she always made homemade noodles which all of her family loved to eat.

She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Snodgrass of Sutton; grandchildren, Timothy P. Bostic II, Branden B. Bostic, Cody A. Bostic, and Sierra M. Burge; great grandchildren, Timothy P. Bostic III, Mallory Joy Bostic, Tucker B. Bostic, Max Bostic, Ford Lawson Bostic, and Emberly Eloise Bostic; brother, John Hoopingarner of Cambridge, Ohio; and nephew, Ramone Hoopingarner.
