He was born August 5, 1973 in Summersville a son of the late Phyllis Ann Sartin and John Casey Smith. John was a carpenter and enjoyed fishing, hiking and just being outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Lindsey Rush Sartin; daughter, Aryan Sartin; sister, Tanya Sartin of California. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, George Richard Smith.
