The lives of so many were changed forever when our beautiful daughter, Brittney Nicole Vance, 28, of Elkview, WV, formerly of Frametown passed away too soon, unexpectedly at CAMC on May 15, 2018 after a brief illness with her family by her side.

She was born May 9, 1990 in Augusta, GA to Renni R. (Vance) Singleton and the late Irie W. Vance Jr.

Brittney will always be remembered for her unconditional love for others and her contagious smile. Her charismatic personality touched everyone she came in contact with. We should all strive to live up to her life quote, “If I can bring a little happiness to someone else’s life, then I am happy”. Brittney’s strong willed attitude defined who she was as a person. She never allowed circumstances to dictate her destiny.

Brittney had a great passion for art and sketching. She was a naturally gifted artist. She loved boating, camping, and 4-wheeler riding with her dad before he died. She also loved shopping for clothes and shoes with her mom and friends. She loved traveling, meeting people, and making new friends. Brittney loved baking, swimming, spending time at the beach and listening to music. Her favorite pastime was hanging out with friends and living life to the fullest. She also worked as a restaurant server. She was a Christian.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wesley Kyle Vance; maternal grandmother, Phyllis A. Paintiff; and paternal grandparents, Irie W. Vance Sr. and Georgia Vance.

Brittney is survived by her mother; her stepfather, William N. Singleton; stepbrother, William Chase Singleton, maternal grandfather, Reverend Robert L. Paintiff; five aunts; four uncles; and several cousins.

Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Evangelist Gary W. Maynor officiating. Interment will be in the Paintiff Family Cemetery, Upper Sleith.

Visitation will be two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
