Anne E. Troy, 87, of Frametown, formerly of Cassville, passed away November 15, 2015 at Braxton County Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 12, 1928 at Rossland, British Columbia, Canada a daughter of the late Cyril and Elizabeth Gill Evans.

She worked for Consolidated Mining and Smelting in Trail, B.C., Canada. She also worked as a waitress at Comuntzis Restaurant, Morgantown and then as a cook at Sundale Nursing Home and Scott’s Run Settlement House in the child daycare center in Morgantown.

She was a member of the Cassville United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, George M. Troy; infant daughter, Linda Lou Troy; brothers, Bill Evans and Ray Evans.

Anne is survived by daughter, Carol L. Sands and husband, David A. of Frametown; grandson, Timothy P. Sands and wife, Bonnie S. of Grantsville; great granddaughter, Carissa Lynn Sands; sister, Gail Evans of Trail, B.C.. Canada.

Per Anne’s request her body was cremated.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Cassville United Methodist Church with Pastor Wanda Brosky officiating.
