Johnny D. Fields, 72, of Gassaway, WV passed away peacefully at CAMC Memorial on November 11, 2017 surrounded by family and friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He worked in the timber industry and enjoyed gold prospecting and WVU football. He was a member of the New Life Chapel. His love for the Lord, family, friends, and music was an inspiration to everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his father, Denver Fields; brother, Michael Fields; and sister, Rose Marie Fields.

He is survived by his wife Mary Fields; mother, Juanita Mollohan; sister, Anita Harrison; brother, Jeff (Jackie) Fields; sons, John(Misty) Fields, Michael (Mamie) Fields; daughters, Sarah (Darrin) Brubaker, Christina (Richie) Propst, Laura (Brent) Cottrill, and Lana (Aaron) Harris; grandchildren, Alex Fields, Johnathan Fields, Bradley Brubaker, Samantha (Randy) Loyd, AJ (Andy) Loyd, Desirae Schoonover, Jaklin Schoonover, Katie Cottrill, Emily Cottrill, Paige Tanner, Jonna Tanner, Sophia Fields, Hayli Loyd, Abby Loyd and Heidi Loyd and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor Jesse Blake and Reverend Tom Propst officiating. Interment will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
