Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Johnnie Earl Boggs, 75, of Gassaway, passed away August 26, 2017 after a short illness at the home of his sister, Gaythel Friend. He was born May 31, 1942 in Braxton County a son of the late Ernest Clyde and Mary Genevieve Wayne Boggs. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxene Bullard Boggs; brother, Justin Robert Boggs. Johnnie was an Army veteran and retired from Diebold Co. He is survived by brothers, Russell (Esta) Boggs of Gassaway and Gary (Laura) Boggs of Exchange; sisters, Ruth Ann (Joe) Haefner of Sutton; Gaythel (Fred) Friend of Gassaway and Fawn (Bobby) Miller of Gassaway; half-sister, Imogene Murphy of Ohio; several nieces and nephews; good friend and caregiver, Sandy Jones of Gassaway; his dog and sidekick, Sissy, whom he spoiled rotten.
