Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway. Private family graveside service will follow at the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 28105 or Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 or Hospice/WV Caring, P.O. Box 323, Burnsville, WV 26335.

Mary Louise Simmons, 90, of Gassaway passed away January 4, 2017 at Braxton County Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James D. Simmons December 24, 2016.

Louise is survived by son, Doug and wife, Amy; daughter, Linda and husband, Ron; sister-in-law, Betty Conrad; brother-in-law, Guy Price; three grandchildren, Chris, Katrina and Shannon and spouses; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Zach and Cole; numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Louise was a life-time member of the Sugar Creek Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Louise loved life, family and friends. She loved to cook and was a very talented seamstress.
