Burial Date December 18, 2016

Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with the Rev. Mark Stump officiating. Burial with military and masonic graveside rites will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to Gassaway Baptist Church, P.O. Box 128, Gassaway, WV 26624.

Amos L. “Pete” Brady, 90, of Gassaway and Sebring, FL, passed away December 9, 2016 in Sebring, FL.

He was born March 2, 1926 at Little Otter a son of the late Amos Allen and Lessie Gertrude Kitts Brady.

Pete was a retired locomotive engineer for the B & O and C & O Railroads. He was an Army veteran of WWII and also served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of A.F. & A.M. Lodge #133 Gassaway. He was a Royal Arch Mason and a member of the Beni Kedem Shrine, V.F.W. and M.O.O.S.E Lodge. He was a member of the Little Otter United Methodist Church and the Gassaway Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by son, Allen Brady and wife, Lela of Gassaway; grandchildren, Rob Brady and wife, Lisa of Gassaway and Becky Oates and husband, Jamie of Gassaway; companion, Elizabeth Campbell of Sebring, FL; great grandchildren, Mara Heater and husband, Cody, Cooper Brady, Jacob Oates, Olivia Brady and Emily Oates; two great- great grandchildren.

Pete was preceded in death by wives, Edith Jeanette Brady and Etta Jean Brady; son, Sammy K. Brady; two brothers and one sister.
