O’Dell, 90, of Gassaway, passed away November 29, 2016 at home. She was born October 28, 1926 a daughter of the late Clarence and Della Tanner Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Eugene O’Dell; grandson, Denver Higgins; two brothers and three sisters. She was retired from Sears Department Store with 30 years of service as a tailor in the men’s department. She was a member of the Gassaway United Methodist. Nellie enjoyed being a homemaker and was a joy to be around. Nellie is survived by daughter, Norma Higgins and husband, David of Dunbar; granddaughter, Paula Day and husband, Jonathan of Red House; great grandchildren, Corey Higgins, Chelsea Higgins and Whitney Day. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2016 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with the Rev. James R. Malick officiating. Interment will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.
