Matt and I challenged each other every day I taught him in school. It was mostly friendly teasing; never thought it was out of mean spiritedness on either of our parts. I came too respect matthew for both his intellectual capacity and his dry, sarcastic and acutely accurate sense of humor. In reaction to my terse attempts to focus him for school. I was regularly threatened with the wrath of his mom (lovely person) and her hoard of "Philadelphia Lawyers". Matt had an outstanding military career. I was always glad that I got to catch up with him once he was discharged. Way down deep, he had a great heart and better mind. He will be missed.
