I'm so sorry to hear of Rocky's passing. I am a cousin , Gay's daughter. I didn't get to know him, just through Mom talking about her nephews and nieces . He was born on my birthday, just so sorry we didn't know each other. My sympathy goes out to the family.

The tragedy of death can be very hard. I hope you can find strength and courage in the following scripture: Jeremiah 29:11 " For I well know the thoughts that I am thinking toward you,’ declares Jehovah, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of calamity, to give you a future and a hope." This peace and this hope is the beautiful promise of seeing our dear loved ones who have passed again. Our heavenly father promises to bring them back-to life through resurrection and reunite them with us forever again. Acts 24:15 "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."  Imagine that day when all our loved ones are brought back to life through a resurrection and we can embrace them again.  How we long for that truly special day so close at

Rocky is my uncle and I love him as such. He was always good to me when I was young and letting me tag along as he would piddle around the yard. Aways showing me some fascinating trick, as I was ten years younger, of course I thought he knew everything and was always listening close to his next item of discussion. A ball in his arm is an example of a trick he showed me, how he did it I will never know in this life. When he married Leica and had Jimmy he just seemed to sparkle. One day when Jimmy was only about 2 or 3, I was up visiting and they came by my grandma's. Something rolled under the bed from the hall, probably that ball I was talking about, anyway Rocky went in and was under the bed trying to reach it. Here came Jimmy and grabbed his daddy's feet and pulled him out from under the bed like he didn't weigh a thing, remember I said he was 2 or 3? Rocky was grinning from ear to ear and we kinda laughed. How in the world did Jimmy do that? We were in shock and I from then on thought of Jimmy as bambam :). Leica is the love of his life and she was a strength in his soul. I am so thankful to have been called family to them and will keep memories of our childhood close as I always have, he was loved by all that knew him and he will be missed in this life. I can't wait to see him again one day and just maybe he will tell me how he got that ball in his arm. 🙂 My prayers for peace go out to his whole family. Love you all.
