A graveside service was held on September 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Gassaway, WV. Family and friends were invited to gather and share in the remembrance of a life lived with great love and loyalty. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Matt has been a very good neighbor to us. We didn’t talk a lot, usually by the trash cans withLucy joining in. But he called several times to check on us when we didn’t get trash out. And he helped Johnie carry heavy stuff when he saw him..We really appreciated him and he will be missed. diane
