Burial Date February 16, 2026

The visitation for Neva will be from 11:30 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Gassaway Baptist Church.

Her funeral will be 1 P.M. Monday at the church with Pastor Mark Stump officiating.

Burial will follow in WV Memorial Gardens, Calvin, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name, may be made to Gassaway Baptist Church, 56 Beall Drive/ P.O. Box 128, Gassaway, WV 26624 or to Agape Care Group, 1069 Bayshore Drive, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Neva was such a sweet lady that I grew up knowing. I’m so sorry to see that she has passed and at the same time, she has now joined all the “Gassaway Baptist Church” members that have gone before her. My love and prayers go out to her girls, who I loved as friends growing up. We were so blessed to have such wonderful “Mom’s” who raised us together and Dad’s also ❤️ May Gods Love be with you all until we meet again. ❤️

Our condolences to the Bickel family. Neva was always so nice to me, welcoming me into her home while I was friends growing up with Pam. She was such a nice person. It is nice to hear she lived such a long wonderful life.

I am Neva's first cousin. My dad was Leslie "Shorty" Cool. It has been many years since I last saw Neva, as I live in Washington State. But I have many fond memories of trips throughout my life to WV. I always loved Neva for her quick and snappy wit, grand sense of humor and our mutual love of Cool family history. I know that she is now in the embrace of family and friends who passed before her. And I'd like to think she now knows the missing links and hidden mysteries in our Cool family tree. May she now rest in peace after a long life well lived!

Kay, Kim and Pam, I was just thinking about your mom last week and praying that she was doing well. She was always so happy, spunky and a delight to be with and talk to. Neva was the best neighbor and friend anyone could ask for. We all loved her like she was family.. She never let anyone rain on her parade… she loved her family so much, they were the highlight of her life. Neva will be miss deeply by all that knew and loved her. Deepest condolences to her wonderful family.
