Linda Lou Claypoole, 83, of Heaters, passed away on Friday, December 27,2024 at WVU Medicine Braxton County Memorial Hospital, Gassaway.

She was born on December 29, 1940, in Braxton County to the late Alison Adeline McCormick Brunt and Ray Brunt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Hubert “Tiny” Claypoole; and seven siblings.

Linda worked for the Braxton County Senior Citizens’ Center for over 20 years as a caretaker for the elderly. She had a passion for taking care of people and had a servant’s heart. Linda enjoyed cooking from scratch in her kitchen. She loved to grow a vegetable garden and can from the harvest. Being around her family and her grandchildren was her favorite pastime.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Cinda Chapman and husband, Paul, of Charlotte, NC, Carol Boll and husband, Butch of Virginia, and Casey Westfall and husband, Scott of Heaters; grandchildren, Christine, Matthew, Adeline, Kaleb and Ashley; great grandchildren, Keelan and Rowena; sister, Dee Life; and several nieces and nephews.

Linda’s graveside service was 1 P.M. Monday, December 30, 2024, at Ware Cemetery, Airport Road, Sutton, WV with Reverend Linn Schiefer officiating.
