With great sadness the Boone family announces the passing of their husband and brother, Bernard Gray Boone on April 2, 2025. After a short illness, Mr. Boone passed with his wife, Nancy, by his side. Known as “Bernie” to wife, Nancy, he was born on April 6, 1965, to parents O. Delbert and Dolores Boone who preceded him in death.

Bernard was a lifelong resident of Braxton County, West Virginia. Bernard trained as a log grader at the Tennessee National Inspector Training ,School. With this trade he worked for several years at Coastal Lumber Company, Gassaway.

In addition to his parents, others preceding him in death were his brother, Larry, Bill, and Terry.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Nancy; brother, Charles Boone of Sutton; sisters, Donna (Kenneth) Moore of Servia, Vanessa Boone of Gassaway, and Sheran (Randy) Helmick of Sutton, West Virginia. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.

Bernard’s visitation will be 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway.

His funeral will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Daniel Tanner officiating.

Burial will follow in the Perry H. James Memorial Park, Wilsie, WV.
