Garry Wade Hall, 77, of Duck passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at WVU Medicine Braxton County Memorial Hospital, Gassaway on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

He was born in Servia on July 8, 1947, to the late Odbert Oscar Hall and Iva Marie Dobbins Hall.

Garry moved to Ohio in 1965 for work after graduating from Gassaway High School. He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1967 during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart. Garry worked for UPS for 20 plus years. He enjoyed and was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church where he was a greeter and bell ringer. Hunting, fishing and golfing were his favorite pastimes. Garry married his wife on August 2, 1966, in Ohio. After his retirement, they moved to Duck and set up a residence.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 58 years, Judy Lee Nottingham Hall; son, Rod Hall and wife, Brenda; grandchildren, Taylor Hall, Luke Hall and Amanda Parker; great grandchildren, Ryland and Dylan Parker; brother, Roger Hall and wife, Diana; nephew, Roger Hall, Jr. and wife, Denise; and very special aunt, Rosalee Hall.

In keeping with Garry’s wishes, cremation will take place and no formal service will be held.
