Sylvia “Sibby” Mullins Schiefer, 85, of Gassaway, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2024, after a short battle with Alzheimer’s.

She was born on May 6, 1939, to the late John and Ina Mullins of Sutton. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael D. Schiefer; and her three sisters, Violet McElwain, Velvie Lewis and Myrtle Frame.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 65 years, Stacy Schiefer; daughter, Tammy (Lucky) Woodrum of Gassaway; daughter-in-law, Tress Schiefer of Rittman, Ohio; and sister, Rita Carr of New York. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John (Crystal) Schiefer of Gassaway, Toni Schiefer of Rittman, Ohio, Justin Schiefer of Rittman, Ohio, Willie Woodrum of Gassaway, Jake (Savanna) Schiefer of Wooster, Ohio, Zach, Sean, Ryan (Tori) Priestly and Jenna (Tyler) Sanders all of Ohio; eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a Baptist by faith.

The family extends their thanks and appreciation to WV Caring for their help in keeping her comfortable and a big thanks to their granddaughter, Crystal Schiefer for all she had done.

Sylvia will be laid to rest in the Braxton Memorial Cemetery, Sutton. Her graveside service will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, with Reverend Linn Schiefer officiating.
