David Todd Dennison, 50, of Sutton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

He was born June 6, 1970 a son of Shirley Fay Smith Dennison and the late Jerry Edward Dennison.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vonda Marling and Clovis Smith; paternal grandparents Alpha and Cleo Dennison; and step-grandfather, Harold Richard “Dick” Marling.

David was a 1988 graduate of Braxton County High School.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and knife collecting.  He had a heart of gold and was always there for his friends.  David was a Christian.

He will be forever remembered by his mother, Shirley Fay Smith Dennison of Sutton; brother, Gary Michael “Doug” Dennison and wife, Lora, of Sutton; two sisters, Terri Rodebaugh and husband, Albert, of Craigsville and Lisa Brady and husband, Rob, of Gassaway; two nephews, Zane Dennison and wife, Stephanie and Sawyer Dennison and fiancée, Annie Skeens; and his cousin, who was like a brother to him, Tim Dennison; great nephews, Silas and Maverick Dennison.  David is also survived by several cousins, aunts and uncles; fur baby cat, Snowball; and extended family in Florida, Alabama, and Northern West Virginia.

Visitation will be from Noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway.  Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in the K of P Cemetery, Burnsville with Rev. Rich Demastus officiating.
