Howard Jackson “Jack” Linger

Howard Jackson “Jack” Linger, 88, of Rosedale, WV, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

He was born December 8, 1936, the son of the late Howard A. Linger (Buchannon) and Mabel (Collins) Linger (West Union). He was also preceded in death by his siters, Zella Margaret Cole, Shirley Linger, and Carolyn Dulabahn.

Jack worked for Akron Craftsman Printing and Allied Printing as a certified letter pressman. He served in the U.S. Army and the Ohio National Guard. Jack enjoyed trap shooting and fishing.

Jack is survived by his wife, Karen Linger, of Rosedale, WV; stepson, Brian (Alyssa) Cole; step-grandchildren, Noelle, Jenna, and Paul Cole of Akron, OH; and one niece and two nephews of Georgia.

In keeping with Jack’s wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made directly to Roach Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
