Lewis M. Duffield, 82, of Clay passed away at his son’s home on Saturday, June 20, 2026. He was born in Clay at home on July 15, 1943, to the late Kelly Okla Duffield and Callie Bell Hayes Duffield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amamda Harris; brothers, Gorden Duffield, Glen Duffield, and Scott Duffield; and sisters, Blandus Keener, and Evelyn Self. Lewis enjoyed life and cherished time with his family. He worked various jobs over the years, including for a logging company and a sawmill, and helped build Interstate 79. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling to visit friends and neighbors. He had many friends and was known by many throughout Clay County. He is survived by his sons, Brian Duffield (Jennifer) of Clay, Chris Duffield of Ohio; several grandchildren and one great grandchild; sisters, Blanch McCracken, Elizabeth Manning, Irene Sears, Opal Duffield, Edna Snodgrass and Pauline Adkins; and several nieces and nephews.
