Herman Lee Given

Herman Lee Given, 80, of Frametown passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at WV Caring Hospice Center, Elkins.

He was born on August 9, 1945, in Clinton Furnace, WV (Monongalia County) to the late Otto Lee Given and Aretta Gay Stewart Given.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his son, Lennard Michael Given and his wife, Ruth Stump Given; and his six siblings.

Herman was drafted into the Army in 1970. His first assignment was Vietnam. Herman had 27 years of service between the Army and the National Guard. He married his sweetheart, Ruth, in 1972. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He also loved to read Western Novels as a pastime. He was the last of all his siblings to pass away.

He is survived by his son, Ernest Lee Given; grandchildren, Chris Michael Given and Abby Grace Given; and several nieces and nephews.

Herman will be cremated and inurnment will be in the Given Cemetery, Frametown.
