Gary Wayne Keener

Gary Wayne Keener, 75, of Flatwoods went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 10, 2025, after a short illness.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Melissa Triplett Keener and Sylvan Keener; his loving wife, Wavolene Mitchell Keener; three brothers, Dana, Ralph and Larry Keener; three nephews, Jason, Brian and Kevin Keener.

He is survived by brother, Carl (Lenore) Keener of Front Royal, VA; three sisters-in-law, Jackie Keener of Stow, OH, Betty Keener of Strange Creek, WV and Vivian Keener of Rittman, OH; nephews Mike (Jaime) Keener of Strange Creek, WV and Nathan (Tasha) Keener of Clarksburg, WV; nieces, Pam (Dave) Hawks of Smithfield, PA, Kelly Keener, Kimi Keener and Kerry Keener, all of Ohio; Missy (David) Morrisette of Floyd, VA; 15 great nephews and nieces; 3 great great nieces and nephews.

Gary’s graveside service will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Strange Creek, WV with Reverend Ray Teets officiating.
