Kathryn V Fisher, 98, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, went to her heavenly home on May 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Kathryn was born in Weston, West Virginia on February 24, 1927. She lived for several years in Gassaway, West Virginia, where she raised her family and moved to Point Pleasant, West Virginia after her husband retired

Kathryn stayed very active her entire life until recently. She always said she attributed her old age to “just plain hard work”. Remaining active and always finding things to do was something she certainly took seriously every day of her life. She loved to watch “Robert” from Vietnam, on You Tube because he was a person who worked very hard and always remained active.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde N Fisher, who died in 2006 and a daughter, Kathryn Marie Woodyard who died in 2011. She was also preceded in death by her father, John D Jordan and her mother, Irene Jordan, two brothers, Ronald Jordan of Rosedale, WV, and Deb Jordan of Boston, Mass, two grandsons, Troy Andrew Adkins and John Fisher and one great-grandson, Jerry Griffin.

She was a housewife for most of her life and spent much of her time knitting, crafting, gardening, crocheting, and quilting but always had plenty of time for raising five children. Being outdoors and working with plants and even trees was sheer joy to her and always made her so very happy.

Just recently, she made sure to set out her patio tomato plants since she could no longer manage a large garden. It was truly amazing how much she knew about the chemicals, fertilizers, etc..

Kathryn is survived by five children, Lyndon Fisher (Sherry) of Stevensville, Md, Patricia Rahilly of Wilmington, De, Donna Oshel (Clarence) of Point Pleasant, WV, Sharon Singleton (Henry) of Frametown, WV, and Linda Smith (Woody) of Troutville, Va., all of whom will miss her so very much. She also leaves a sister, Terry Welch of Rosedale, WV, and a brother Delmas Jordan of North Carolina. Kathryn also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
