Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Roach Funeral Home in Gassaway, WV with Pastor Joe Bob Truman officiating. His visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Moore Family Cemetery, Servia, WV. Charles Allen Moore, age 71, of Servia, WV, passed peacefully with family gathered around him on November 17, 2024, at WVU Medicine Braxton Memorial Hospital, Gassaway, WV. The son of the late Charlie and Bernice Moore, Allen was born on January 8th, 1953, at Gassaway Hospital. He graduated from Braxton County High School in 1971. After completing school, he worked as a heavy equipment operator, as well as a supervisor later in his career. He retired from Central Contracting, Inc. Allen enjoyed tinkering and being a hobby mechanic with his long-time friend, Loyd Hall. He enjoyed visiting with friends and dining at Granny’s Kitchen (now Minney’s Family Restaurant). He loved spending time with his family and cheering on his grandchildren at their baseball games. He is survived by his three brothers, Kenneth, Gary, and Michael Moore; as well as two sisters, Janet Mollohan and Terrie Truman. He is also survived by his son, Charles Matthew Moore and wife, Stephanie Moore; daughter, Jessica Moore and husband, Benjamin Henderson; many nieces and nephews; and seven grandchildren, Jackson, Garrett, Rowan, and Tristan Moore; Kenslee, Waylon, and Walker Henderson.
