Her graveside service will be 2 P.M. Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Rosedale Community Cemetery, Rosedale with Pastor Rick Metheney officiating.

The family would like to give special thanks to Atrium Health Floyd Hospital ICU and Pulmonary Stepdown Unit for their compassionate care of Connie.

Connie I. Drake, 64, of Rosedale, WV passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Atrium Health Floyd Hospital, Rome, Georgia.

She was born on February 1, 1960, to the late Edward Cottrill and Wanda Jean Dickey Cottrill.

Connie loved spending time with her family, children and grandchildren. She was employed out of the home all her working life for Home Health. Her favorite pastime was going to and bargaining at yard sales. Helping others and being thankful was important to her.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 40 years, Ron Drake; five daughters, Stephanie Blackwell, Pamela Blackwell (Chris Borda), Shaelynn Blackwell (Kristopher Wiggins), Rhonda Gorby (Todd Reed), and April Starcher (Hodie Starcher); her grandchildren, Summer Blackwell, Charles “Bubby” Stump II, Abigail Sheets, Dalton Dickey, and Baby Starcher; great grandchildren; brothers, Jeff Cottrill (Lynn), Roger Cottrill (Jill), and Eddie Cottrill (Rhonda) and several nieces and nephews.
