Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the funeral home with Reverend Linn Schiefer officiating. Burial will follow in the Tesla Cemetery, Tesla. Ruth Ann Morris, 80, of Sutton went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. She passed at home surrounded by her family. She was born August 30, 1942, in Braxton County to the late Masol J. Rose and Waneta B. Myles Robinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Hinkle; sisters, Linda Westfall and Brenda Whyte; brother-in-law, Brenice Westfall, and sister-in-law, Jennie Rose. Ruth was a homemaker. She truly enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She canned, cooked, and baked from her harvest. Her family enjoyed Ruth’s famous biscuits and gravy. Ruth loved to be outdoors. She had a pet deer that she fed. Birdwatching, including watching hummingbirds, were her favorite pastimes. She loved to take care of her pets. She will be missed by all. Ruth will be forever remembered by her husband, James “Jim” Morris; daughters, Marlene Riddle and Tina Riddle both of Greeneville, TN, Crystal Owczarzak and husband, John, of Levittown, PA, and Sharon Yost and husband, Mark of Sutton; brothers, Johnny Rose, Lonnie Rose and Delmas Rose (Kathy Lewis); grandchildren, Jody Shaw of Nashville, TN, Bethany Wagner and husband, Jim, of Greeneville, TN, Thomas Phegley of Maryville, TN, Dustin Johnson and wife of Georgia, Robert Cutlip II and wife, Cassidy, of Sutton, Katrina Owczarzak and wife, Alyssa, of Levittown, PA, and Zack Owczarzak of Levittown, PA; 11 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and fur baby dogs, Sophie, Millie and Sausha; and fur baby cats, Sissy and Black Cat.
