Richard H. Perkins, 83, of Gassaway, died January 21, 2016 at CAMC General Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born May 12, 1932 at Centralia a son of the late William D. and Laura Jane Tharp Perkins. He was a former police officer and a security guard for John Skidmore Development, Inc. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by wife, Kaota “Kay” Perkins; four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by stepdaughter, Nancy Brady of Gassaway; stepson, Shaun Nardella of Columbus, OH; sister, Alidene Bender of Flatwoods; several nieces and nephews. Richard’s body was cremated.
