Freddie Glenn May

Freddie Glenn May, 82, of Gassaway, WV passed away peacefully at home on June 5th, 2023.

Born in Flatwoods, WV on February 7, 1941 to the late Val and Kathleen May.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Ann (Piddle) May.

Freddie is survived by a son, Christopher May and wife, Misty, of Rock, WV; four granddaughters, Abbigail Presley, Zoe May, Mia May, and Ryland Barlow; brother, Eddie May and wife, Myrna; sisters, Valeen Armstrong, Mary Brandt and husband, Doug; brother-in-law, Greg Nettles and wife, Suzanne.

Freddie was a long-time employee of Union Carbide at Institute, WV. He was a member of the WV National Guard. He enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, sports and the Mountaineers. He also loved watching his son and granddaughters play sports.

Honoring Freddie’s wishes he will be cremated.

A gathering of family and friends for Piddle and Freddie will be from 12 Noon to 2 P.M. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway.
