Matthew Josiah Jarrett

Matthew Josiah Jarrett, 38, of Strange Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Tues., June 7, 2016.

Matt was born was born July 30, 1977 in Summersville. He loved working outdoors with his hands. He was a very gifted musician. His favorite instrument was his guitar. He had a love for nature and watched the sunset as often as he could. He was a very loving and caring, father, husband and son.

He is survived by his sons, Christopher Marcus of Charleston and Nicholas Isaiah; stepson, Levi Wolford; stepdaughters, Taylor and Logan Wolford; wife, Kimberley; mother, Sherry Miller of Charleston; brother, Dan Jarrett III of Beckley; sister, Charity Miller Bower of Glade Hill, VA; nieces, Tiffany, Kylie, Danni, Riley and Lilliana; nephew, Mason; Godmother, Linda Luger of Charleston.

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at the Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with the Reverend Robey Godfrey officiating.

Visitation will be three hours prior to service.

Interment will be in the Eureka Church Cemetery, Strange Creek.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made online to the Shriners Hospital in Lexington, KY.
