Arthur Eugene “Gene” Bourgeau

Arthur Eugene “Gene” Bourgeau, 87, of Frametown, WV passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Meadow Brook Assisted Living in Danville, WV.

He was born November 22, 1934 in Florida to the late Joseph and Agatha (Gilbert) Bourgeau.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Hamric Bourgeau; and his brother, Joseph Lindsey Bourgeau.

Gene spent a short time in the United States Navy before going into the retail food business. He then worked as a mechanic in the coal industry. Later he entered the ministry where he remained until his retirement. His favorite pastimes were watching football and fishing.

He leaves behind Lucille’s daughters, Beverly Johnson (Edward), Judy Steorts (Rodney) and Darlene White (Jack). He also leaves five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

His funeral will be 2 P.M. Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, WV with Reverend Johnny Conrad officiating.

Gene’s visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Following services Gene will be cremated.
