Minnie Jean Hefner Nottingham, 82, of Strange Creek, WV went to her new Heavenly home on March 17, 2022 at Braxton County Memorial Hospital after suffering a massive stroke. She was born May 7, 1939 in Gassaway, WV to the late James Raymond and Margaret Jean Cogar Hefner. Minnie was a Christian by faith. She was a homemaker in every sense of the word, and was passionate about quilting, canning her own food, baking pies, surrounding her home with beautiful flowers, and most of all, she loved taking care of her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by all her siblings, brothers, Harold, Earl Gale, and Michael Hefner; sisters, Louise Coyle, Pearl Lathem, Arlene Harrison, Maxine Nottingham, Dorothy Cogar, and Patsy Miller. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Brantie Nottingham; three children, Diana Frame and husband, Teddy, Clinton Nottingham and wife, Jeannie, and Vickie Nottingham all of Strange Creek; five grandchildren; Eric Frame and wife, Michelle of Clay, Casie Boggs and husband, Scott, of Wallback, Terra Nottingham of Strange Creek, Adam Nottingham of Strange Creek, and Tonya Smith and husband, Robert, of Strange Creek; six great-grandchildren; Gracie Boggs, Jaidyn Boggs, Bryson Smith, Tali Burdette, Cole Frame, and Harley Smith.
