James “Bill” William Westfall, age 46, went home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2021, at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born April 12, 1975 in Kanawha County to Sandra Cay (Ash) Westfall and the late James Earl Westfall. Bill resided in Cabin Creek, WV, until he graduated from Eastbank High School and then made his home in Braxton County, WV. He was an avid sportsman who loved the thrill of the hunt. He enjoyed horseback riding, antique cars, as well as collecting guns, knives, and tools. He loved spending time with his family and going on four-wheeler/dirt bike rides, but riding his Harley was a close second. Bill was a welder and crane operator by trade and a master trader by heart. His children still believed that he was Superman; he could design, create, fix or rig anything together. Throughout his life, Bill lived; he truly lived. Every day was an adventure. He thrived on being the risk-taker, money maker, and daredevil. He was afraid of nothing except the dark and maybe a great white Pyrenees dog named “Hank,” whom he later shared his mushroom burger. In addition to his father, James Earl Westfall, he was preceded in death by his son, Samuel Colton Westfall. Bill is survived by his mother, Sandra Cay Westfall; his wife of 27 years, Kelly Dawn Westfall; his sons, James Andrew Wilson Westfall and Christopher Tyler Criner; his daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Bailes and her husband Tyler Bailes; his one grandson, Hunter, and another grandbaby on the way; his two sisters, Jami Hefner and Angela Prince; along with several nieces and nephews and many other close family members and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be 2 to 4 P.M. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Roach Funeral Home. His memorial service will follow at 4 P.M. at the funeral home. In keeping with Bill’s wishes he will be cremated following his services. Words of comfort and fond memories may be extended to the family at www.roachfuneralhome.com. |
