“Cookie” Brenda Yvonne Dyer

“Cookie” Brenda Yvonne Dyer, 33, of Sutton passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

She was born August 31, 1988 in West Virginia to the late Betty Lou Chaney Westfall and George Layton Dyer, Jr.

In addition to her parents Cookie was preceded in death by her brother, David Lee Crockett.

She loved the outdoors including going berry picking, splitting wood and fishing.  She enjoyed being at the Falls Mill area.  She worked at a deli but in her spare time she would bake and often she would make her famous Monkey Bread or her Banana Split Cake.  She often listened to music of all kinds.

She is survived by her sisters, Amber “Cole” Dyer of Sutton and Elizabeth Marie Dyer of Ohio; brothers Charles Ray Crockett of Huntington and Johnny Ray Crockett of Gassaway; and stepfather, Jeremy Allen Westfall of Sutton; and step grandparents, Tony and Debbie Westfall of Sutton.

Cookie was cremated and a gathering of friends and family was held from 1 to 2 P.M. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, WV.
