Tammy Jane Duckworth

Tammy Jane Duckworth, 48, of Exchange, passed away March 16, 2020 at home.

She was born March 30, 1971 in Gassaway a daughter of Mary Nicholas Duckworth and Marion “Monk” Duckworth.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Hosey Nottingham and her grandparents, David and Sara Nicholas and Burk and Opal Duckworth.

Tammy loved when her family and friends were around her.  She listened to country music and particularly enjoyed Alan Jackson’s music.  She enjoyed watching the TV show, the Golden Girls.  Tammy would often celebrate her birthday the whole month of March.  She enjoyed eating at Shoney’s Restaurant in Flatwoods and visiting with everyone.

She will be forever remembered by her parents, Mary and Monk Duckworth; brothers, Marty Harris (Nelma), Donnie Nottingham, Doug Duckworth (Opal); sisters, Patty Boone (Ralph), Evelyn Jarrell (Gary), Kathy Hays (Bob), and Sara Gallegos (Joey); special niece, Ellen “Sid” White; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1 P.M. Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Reverend Scott Belknap officiating.  Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Chapel.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
