Paula Kowalski Newsome

Paula Kowalski Newsome, 55, of Rosedale, WV formerly of Ravenna, OH passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at CAMC  Memorial after a short illness.

She was born August 14, 1963 to the late Stanley and Elizabeth Kowalski.  Paula was also preceded in death by her husband, Dempsey Newsome; brother, Kenneth Kowalski; and best friend Marian Noch.

She is survived by her sons, Brennan Newsome and Shane Noch; grandson, Jeremiah Newsome; sister, Kathleen McCumbers of Rosedale, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Paula was a 1981 graduate of JFK High School in Cleveland, OH and worked as a front desk supervisor for almost 30 years at the Kent and Twinsburg, Ohio Super 8 motel.  She had a big heart and was so happy when she became “Grandma P” to Jeremiah.  She enjoyed crocheting afghans for loved ones, making flower arrangements and shopping.  She also read all different kinds of books and liked journaling.

The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the CPICU Staff especially nurses, Nolan, Rachela, and Kristen for their excellent care and compassion.

Paula was cremated and a memorial service will be 2 P.M. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, WV with Pastor Scott Raynor officiating.

Family and friends will gather one hour prior to memorial service.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ohio.
