Karen Suzann Short

Karen Suzann Short, 62, of Gassaway, passed away on August 27, 2018.

She was born March 12, 1956 in Lorain, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harold Baker and Deloris Jean Hacker Baker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Randell Short.

Karen was the director of Precision Services, Gassaway for 28 years. She loved cooking, basket weaving, and crocheting afghans. She also loved to fish and be outdoors. She was a loving person and had many friends. Karen attended Frametown Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather (John) Miller; sons, Nathan (April) Short and Sam (Michelle) Short; brother, Mike (Vicky) Baker; sister, Pam (Harley) Mace; grandchildren, John Miller II, Dylan Ratliff, Jaxson Short, Logan Short, Hunter Short, Emily Short, and Lance Short. Also surviving her is her companion of 11 years, Brad Taylor, of Fairmont, WV.

Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2018 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor Allen Myers officiating. Interment will be in the Short Family Cemetery, Frametown.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the funeral home.
