Carol Utt Hamric

Carol Utt Hamric, 71, of Martinsburg, passed away June 25, 2018 at Berkeley Medical Center, Martinsburg.

She was born December 26, 1946 in Sutton, a daughter of the late Roy H. and Nina Barker Utt.

She worked in restaurant management and was a homemaker. She enjoyed music, singing and doing crafts.

Carol is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lee Junior “Buck” Hamric; son, Wayne Alan Utt and wife, Kathy of Martinsburg; daughter, Lecia Yingling and husband, Joe of Bunker Hill; grandchildren, Nathan Utt, Leeann Utt, Jessica Utt and Tyler Kidwell; great grandson, Clayton Utt; brothers, Roy “Bucky” Utt and Henry “Tiny” Utt both of Sutton; sisters, Pauline Ferrell of Wheeling, Barbara Cabiness of Roanoke, VA and Evelyn Chaffins of Sutton; several nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Utt; brothers, Junior Utt and infant brother, Arthur Utt; sisters, Virginia Grillborzer and Betty Utt; half-brothers, Hurshal Utt and Victor Utt.

Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Rev. Russell Shaw officiating. Interment will be in the Barker Ridge Cemetery, Sutton.

Visitation will be two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
