James A. Smith, 46, of Gassaway, went to be with the Lord February 4, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christina L. Smith of Gassaway. James is survived by his mother, Agnes M. Crites of Gassaway; brother, Mark Crites and wife, Becky of Clay; sisters, Cindy Lemon of Gassaway and Angie Johnson of North Carolina; niece, Miranda L. Lemon of Gassaway; son, James J.
