Kimberly Woods Groves

Kimberly Woods Groves, 53, of Strange Creek, passed way from this life and entered into her eternal home with Jesus on Thursday, August 3, 2017 after a long illness.

She was born October 15, 1963 in Braxton County a daughter of Delbert and Gloria Vaughan Woods.

She was a 1981 graduate of Braxton County High School and worked as a Pharmacy Tech until 2014, at which time her health started to decline. She fought a long, hard battle with complications from diabetes.

She was a member of the Strange Creek Church and the Strange Creek Gospel Singers along with Mike and Kate Claytor.

Kim leaves one son, Corey Groves of Sutton, WV; one daughter, Shauna Groves of Fairmont, WV; two little granddaughters that she loved with all her heart, Olivia Sims of Fairmont and Fiona Groves of Sutton; also surviving are her mother, Gloria Woods of Strange Creek; brothers, Randy Woods (Chrystal) of Ft. Pierce, FL, Brent Woods (Charity) of Strange Creek and John Woods (Allison) of Morgantown; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Woods on September 8, 2014.

Per Kim’s request she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
