Junior D Rexroad

Junior D. Rexroad, 87, of Chapel Road, Gassaway, passed away July 12, 2017 at home after a short illness.

He was born November 23, 1929 in Braxton County a son of the late Clyde “Red” and Beva Deuly Rexroad. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Vernon Rexroad; grandson, Matthew Oney and great grandson, Landon Rexroad.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Evelene Rexroad. He also leaves behind sons; Jimmy (Darlene) Rexroad of Polemic Run, Sutton, Ronny (Mary) Rexroad of Trace Run, Gassaway and Eric (Deanna) Rexroad of Nicholas Run, Gassaway; grandchildren; Gary Rexroad, Justin Rexroad and wife Yada, Nathan Rexroad and Fiancee, Silby, Tony Carr and Fiancee, Courtney; great grandchildren, Klhoe Rexroad, Colt Carr; brother, David Rexroad and wife, Rose.

Junior was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a saw mill operator, a retired pipeliner and was a member of L.I.U.N.A. Local union #984.

Service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway. Interment will be in the Crooked Fork Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
