Leland Smith Carr, 81, of Belfont, passed away May 16, 2017 at Braxton County Memorial Hospital. He was born September 2, 1935 at Belfont a son of the late William Earl and Winnie Maude Meadows Carr. He was a carpenter and dearly loved his grand kids. He is survived by his son, Van Carr and wife, Jeanne of Belfont; granddaughter, Abigail Carr of Belfont; great grandson, Ryan Carr of Belfont. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Carr; brothers, Bill Carr, Brad Carr and Bailey Carr. In keeping with Mr. Carr’s wishes, he was cremated. Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Simpson Belfont Church with Rev. William Hunt officiating. Visitation will be one our prior to memorial service at the church.
