Marie Alice Hamric Ramsey

Marie Alice Hamric Ramsey, 96, of New Port Richey, FL, formerly of Braxton County, passed away peacefully February 25, 2017 at St. Mark Village, Palm Harbor, FL.

She was born November 13, 1920 at Servia, WV a daughter of the late Ira David and Eva Reip Hamric.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, William S. Ramsey on March 28, 2000; brother, Glen Hamric on October 21, 2005, sister, Beatrice Hart on June 28, 2006, brother, Spencer Hamric on October 23, 2006.

She is survived by nieces, Phyllis Hart Grove (Snooks) of Auburn, Dottie Hart Pisapia of Charleston and New Port Richey, FL, Virginia Hart Yeager (Scotty) of Glenville, Janet Hamric Hodge of Smithville and nephew, Timothy Hamric of Cumberland Furnace, TN.

Bill and Marie were married on April 24, 1943. They worked for Hawthorne State Hospital in Ohio before retiring and moving to New Port Richey, FL in 1981.

She always had a smile on her face.

Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with the Rev. Allen Donaldson officiating. Burial will be in the David Hamric Memorial Cemetery, Glendon.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
