Ethelene Metz Duckworth

Ethelene Metz Duckworth, 96, of Gassaway went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2017 at Genesis Glenville Center.

She was born December 13, 1920 in Braxton County a daughter of the late George and Hallie Steele Metz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Blen Duckworth; two sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by three children, Linda Dobbins (Neal) of Gassaway, Sandra Drake (Butch) of Glenville and Gary Duckworth (Nancy) of Parkersburg; six grandchildren, Dawn Dobbins, Michelle Dobbins Myers, Steve Dobbins (Heather), all of Gassaway, Kim Drake Cottrill and David Drake (LuAnn) both of Glenville, Michael Duckworth and companion, Rusee Ferrell of Myrtle Beach, SC; eleven great grandchildren, Ryan, MiKayla and Abby Myers of Gassaway, Tyler, Cody and Adam Dobbins of Gassaway, Luke and Dylan Montgomery of Glenville, Lydia Cottrill of Glenville, Trevor and Eli Drake of Glenville; great-great grandchild, Brinley; two step-great grandchildren, James Farley and Brandy Moyers; two step-great-great grandchildren, Daniel and Ady Moyers.

Ethelene was a great example of Christian lady. She devoted her life to her family.

Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with the Rev. Linn Schiefer officiating. Interment will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.

Visitation will be two hours prior to service.
