In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated. Her ashes will be laid to rest alongside her beloved mother, father, and brother Tom.

A mass service will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on August 15th, 2026 at 11AM where family, friends, and former students are invited to gather and honor her life.

Eva Maria Riffle, age 63 of Burnsville, WV passed away on June 20, 2026. She was born on February 23, 1963 in Hinesville, GA to the late Anna E. Crim (Kern) and Ervin A. Crim, Sr.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and devoted her career to teaching and inspiring generations of students throughout Braxton County. Although, her influence extended far beyond the classroom, leaving a lasting impact on countless families, colleagues, and friends.

Known for her warm heart and infectious laughter, Eva never met a stranger. She had a remarkable gift for creating friendships and making others feel welcome. Whether offering a helping hand, sharing a story, or simply being there when someone needed her, she made friendship and kindness seem effortless.

She found great joy in the outdoors and loved spending time on the back roads of West Virginia. Hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature brought her peace and happiness. She also cherished her beloved animals, who brought her endless companionship and comfort.

Above all, Eva treasured her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother, devoted wife, caring sister, and loyal friend. Her tenacity, compassion, and generosity touched the lives of many and will continue to be felt by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Edward L. Riffle; her four children, Maria T. Given, Samuel H. Given, Maura K. DaCosta (Given), Kira L. Riffle; her brother, Ervin (Scooter) A. Crim Jr.; her sister, Christina A. Crim; and many extended family members. Through the grace of our creator she will be reunited with her parents and brother, Thomas H. Crim, in the kingdom of heaven.
